OTTO SMP CALIBRATION

The Otto soil moisture sensors are programmed by default with a calibration to match a 50:50 mineral - organic soil. This can be changed at any  time to one of the pre-loaded soil types or users can create their own  calibrations

 

Calibration Equation

 

The probe calibrations are implemented using a 3rd order polynomial. This takes the format
SM Calibrated = ax3+bx2+cx+d
Where
                    x = raw soil moisture value
                   a, b, c, d = coefficients for polynomial
